Delivered in 2009, Leonidas is a 318,000 deadweight tonne bulk carrier designed for long-distance commercial operation.

Large commercial vessels require onboard systems that combine operational reliability, low maintenance requirements, and compliance with marine environmental regulations throughout the vessel lifecycle.

As part of its onboard environmental systems package, Leonidas was equipped with a Hamworthy Super Trident Sewage Treatment Plant designed to support efficient wastewater processing during continuous vessel operation.

Leonidas was fitted with a Hamworthy Super Trident ST2A Sewage Treatment Plant for the treatment of black and grey wastewater streams onboard.

Certified to meet IMO MEPC 159(55) requirements, the system is designed to deliver reliable wastewater treatment while supporting efficient vessel operation and environmental compliance.

Compatible with both conventional gravity-fed and vacuum collection systems, the fully automated design allows unattended operation while helping reduce onboard maintenance requirements and long-term operating costs.
