SMM has been bringing the global maritime industry together for more than 60 years, and few events carry the same weight for shipowners, operators, shipbuilders and technology providers. Following a record-breaking 2024 edition that welcomed more than 48,000 participants and over 2,200 exhibitors, SMM returns to Hamburg from 1 to 4 September 2026, once again providing the ideal setting to share ideas, strengthen partnerships and explore the technologies shaping the future of shipping.

This year's event marks an important milestone for Hamworthy. It will be our first appearance at SMM as an independent business following the launch in June, and the first opportunity to introduce the Hamworthy brand to the wider maritime community. While the name on the stand may be new, our people, expertise and customer relationships have been built over decades. Together with Serck Como, a Hamworthy business, we bring more than 180 years of combined maritime heritage and many years of experience supporting customers across the global shipping industry.

Visitors to our SMM stand can expect a warm welcome, familiar faces and details on a new product we are planning to unveil during the exhibition. More than anything, SMM is an opportunity to reconnect with the partners, shipbuilders, shipowners and operators we've worked alongside for many years, while beginning the next chapter as an independent specialist focused entirely on marine water and waste solutions. Customers can expect the same commitment to technical excellence, responsive support and long-term customer partnerships, now backed by the focus and agility that come with independence.

Join us on the Innovation Stage.

Our CEO, Fraser Scott, will also be part of the conference programme, presenting Protecting tomorrow by treating today on the Exhibitor Innovation Stage in Hall B5 at 1:45 pm on Thursday 3 September. The session will explore the challenges facing shipowners as environmental expectations continue to evolve, together with the latest developments in marine water and waste treatment that are helping operators improve compliance, efficiency and lifecycle performance. It reflects our purpose of helping customers protect tomorrow through practical, integrated solutions that deliver value throughout the life of the vessel.

Whether you are planning a newbuild, evaluating retrofit opportunities or looking to strengthen lifecycle support across your fleet, we look forward to welcoming you to Hall A1, Stand 205. SMM has always been one of the highlights of the maritime calendar, and we're excited to return to Hamburg to introduce the new Hamworthy, share what's coming next, and continue helping the industry protect tomorrow by treating today.

We are always looking for capable, committed people to join us.
