Doing business shouldn't cost the earth.
We are very concious of the environmental impact that our activities may have on the communities in which we operate and we constantly strive to minimise the effect of this.
We also design and manufacture many products that help eliminate or reduce polluting discharges and emissions from our marine and oil & gas customers’ processes. These include exhaust gas scrubbers for the removal of sulphur from ships, advanced wastewater treatment plants and ballast water management systems. Additionally our R&D efforts aim to optimise the energy consumption of our products.
Our products are designed to meet and often exceed the requirements of environmental standards and legislation. Similarly our manufacturing operations comply with prevailing environmental legislation and each site has an accredited ISO 14001 Environmental Management System that provides a framework within which we seek to ensure compliance and improve the impact of our operations on the environment.
Whilst we cannot change overnight, we recognise that there is more we can do to lessen our impact and the impact of our customers on the environment. This may range from implementing further office waste reuse or recycling programmes at Hamworthy offices, to implementing energy saving programmes or recommending alternative designs to our clients which are more energy efficient, produce less waste or produce fewer emissions.
